UV-Stabilized Polyester Geotextile with High Water Permeability and Excellent Puncture Resistance for Open-Pit Mining
Product Description
UV-Stabilized Polyester Geotextile for Open-Pit Mining
Our UV-Stabilized Polyester Geotextile is a professional environmental protection material specifically engineered for open-pit mining applications. Manufactured from high-quality polyester fibers with integrated high-concentration UV stabilizers and anti-aging agents, this product delivers exceptional durability against prolonged exposure to harsh environmental conditions including intense sunlight, high temperatures, rain, and wind. The material maintains structural integrity without brittle cracking, fading, or performance degradation. Available in lightweight options (150-600g/m²) with flexible handling characteristics for easy installation on irregular surfaces such as mine slopes and pit walls.
Primary Functions
Soil Stabilization: Binds surface soil on mine slopes and pit walls to prevent erosion from wind and rain, reducing landslide and debris flow risks
UV Protection: Integrated UV stabilizers absorb and reflect ultraviolet radiation, protecting underlying soil and vegetation from sun damage
Ecological Restoration Support: Porous structure enables air and water penetration, creating optimal conditions for seed germination and vegetation growth to accelerate mining area rehabilitation
Chemical Resistance: Provides protection against soil contamination from mining chemicals including cyanide and sulfide compounds
Application Scenarios
This geotextile is primarily deployed in open-pit mining operations including slope stabilization and erosion control for mine pits, ecological restoration of exposed surfaces, protection of waste rock piles and tailings slopes in open-air storage, and erosion management for surface drainage systems. Suitable for various open-pit mine types including coal, metal, and non-metallic mines. Also effective for temporary protection during construction phases to prevent soil erosion.
Installation and Usage Guidelines
For slope installation, lay geotextile from bottom to top, securing with anchor pins at 0.8-1.2 meter intervals to ensure tight surface contact. On slopes with ratios exceeding 1:1.5, employ additional reinforcement nets for enhanced stability. Avoid installation during strong winds or heavy rainfall to prevent displacement. For vegetation restoration, spread grass or shrub seeds over installed geotextile and cover with thin soil layer to promote germination. Conduct regular inspections, particularly after extreme weather events, and promptly repair any damaged sections.
